David Stoupakis

David Stoupakis's work reminds me of Living Dead Doll art. All of his paintings are dark and beautiful. Currently, his work is being exhibited at the Dorothy Circus Gallery until January, 2010. David lives and works in New York with his girlfriend and their rescued cat.

Alex Noble

Much more impressive in person, Alex Noble likes to keep it interesting, period! The website itself is more than enough to keep you occupied. Found through a fellow fashion blogger, I'm completely blown away by his 3D art. Mannequin's have never looked so deeply depressed and glamorous at the same time. Also, being obsessed with bird cages makes the below photo seem like a living room's dream come true.

If only fashion incorporated art like this more often...

Hello Gaga.

Stumbled upon two awesome photographers today, Klinko and Indrani. And look who it is, Lady Gaga as Hello Kitty. I love the idea, but she still aggravates me.

These duo photographers are well known for their notorious and powerful images. Their work has been described as “a powerful dream vision – seamless, erotic, unforgettable, and the work of two contemporary masters”.

Devin McGrath

Devin McGrath is a freelance illustrator from New York. I found his work a long time ago and I saved it, but I forgot to write down his name. Recently, McGrath was featured on the Who Killed Bambi? website. It's obvious why it is being featured here. :c)

Eamo Donnelly

Eamo Donnelly is an Australian based illustrator who is known best for his colorful, hand-inked illustrations. Most of his work is inspired by comics from the 60's and Japanese Manga. I love the fact that the colors he uses are soft and bold at the same time. Check out these shoes from The String Republic. I just adore illustration art. <3

Country Western Star.

I love, love Kelly Haigh. Her paintings are beautiful, but they never let you forget just how cruel the world can be. Her website has an interesting story she wrote and she talks about her others talents, Victorian taxidermy. In the mean time, you can catch Kelly singing in her band, Ashley Park. She is working on her first solo album, 'Country Western Star'. Featured above is her most recent painting. Talk about multi-talented. She is by far, one of my favorites..

Some fashion to feast your eyes upon.
Photos shot by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia.
I know my fellow blogger will love the colors and avant garde-ness.

Manhandled.

Amongst what seems to be a chaotic mess of paint and distinct outlines and shapes, Antony Micallef has found that he can create a fiendish feeling with his artwork and sculptures. The dark undertones speak to the very core of a person and I especially love that some lines are more obvious than others. It leaves you with a creation of your own interpretation. While there are some that resemble a pre-scholars handy work, these embodied the essence of what art should be: Messy and imperfect. Human.

The Porcelain Pistols.

When Grandma needs to pop a cap in someone's ass, you can bet she's not going to use just any old piece! She’s going to use Yvonne Lee Schultz's porcelain pistols. Crafted in the tradition of the James Bond’s Walther PPK and it's contemporary sister. Each piece is hand-painted in the style of classic tableware motifs and is as comfortable in the hand as it is beautiful on the table.

David O'Keefe

There is something about David O’Keefe's clay sculptures that completely fascinates me. There was an old video that used to come on MTV when I was little and it had characters like these in it. I don't remember who it was by, but I really wish that I did. Anyone have an idea?
