It took me forever to find this picture. I love the deformed looking clouds with the pink rain. It's beautiful.

A Mask To Conceal With Bandages To Heal.
Glenn Arthur has a new painting out. The piece was inspired by his favorite holidays, Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos. Very beautiful as always. The cat reminds me of a photograph I found on the internet last week.

Zombie Blondes by Brian James
I read this book last summer. Hannah Sanders, a new girl in a very strange town, 'Zombieland' takes it's time making it known that the blonde teens at school are infact zombies. The coverart is done by the beautiful and talented artist, Sas Christian.

Everything but the kitschen sync..
Came across Dennis Larkins' work tonight. There is something unique about his paintings. I never really see anyone using aliens in their work at all.

Madonna and the horsefly.
John Brophy's work is absolutely amazing. I love how this particular painting looks underpainted, like it's glowing or something.

Ruth Claxton
Ruth Claxton was born in July of 1971. She lives and works in Birmingham, UK. Many of you have probably seen this painting, but for those of you who have not, now you have. Her work also includes sculpture. This is one of her best paintings yet. It seems like you could almost reach out and rip the curled peice of paper off.

Red Sonja
I was looking up old movies with my boyfriend the other day and we came across this. Robert Rodriguez is remaking the 1985 classic film Red Sonja starring Brigitte Nielsen. It's no surprise that Rose McGowan will be playing the new Sonja. I have never seen the original, but I am excited to see the new one. The movie is set to come out sometime in 2010.

Ayami Kawashima
I found this online somewhere. The artist's name is Ayami Kawashima. It kind of reminds me of Audrey Kawasaki's work. At first I thought it was, but I knew it couldn't be after I noticed Frank the bunny in the corner.

I've got a very important date!
I love the original, but I am excited to see Tim Burton's remake. I heard a long time ago that Marilyn Manson was supposed to play the Queen of Hearts, but Helena Bonham Carter is actually playing it. The movie is set to come out in March of 2010.

Lady Haha!
Lady Gaga
It's no surprise that rumors have been going around that Lady Gaga has been stealing Roisin Murphy's style. Murphy, the Irish-electro dance star claims that she met Gaga just last year and she wasn't wearing the things she is wearing now back then. Lady Gaga, the 23 year old dance pop star who has sold over 20 million singles and 3 millions albums worldwide has not yet spoke out on the controversy. According to the Irish Central, Murphy says "Lady Gaga is just a poor immitation of me. She has copied my style." While Lady Gaga is dancing on 'disco sticks' and looking a hot mess, you can find Roisin Murphy is doing it first and doing it with class.
I must say though, Lady Gaga does look a little better after having her face fixed.

Charles Krafft
Charles Krafft is not your typical artist. Charles was born in Seattle in 1947. His work specializes in porcelain, painted in blue and white, the style of Delft earthenware of Netherlands. Krafft describes his work to be eloquently completely non-functional and absurdly decorative. Working with plaster moulds, he slip casts all of his work. Once made, each piece is hand decorated with traditional Delft styling.
